Soldiers of the Oregon Army National Guard, Military Funeral Honors team at Willamette National Cemetery are combat veterans whose new mission is to honor veterans. "Receiving military funeral honors, having your body carried by combat veterans, the rifle salute and taps, that's your rite of passage into Willamette; that every soldier, whatever branch, will be honored before they're laid to rest," says Staff Sgt. Jeromy Turner. (10/7/06)

  • My fellow soldier, we serve, for all those who live in this great nation. Remember, we serve to protect the constitution. Against, foreign and domestic. Those words are so powerful, so much, that us as troops, hold the power. We must, protect, all of those, who need us. We must not fail those, and are held by a higher power.
