  • @mreft regardless, would you call God's behavior in the story of Job to be that of a benevolent father figure? would you do that to your child to prove a point? evil is not just the lack of god, according to the bible god has the power to destroy lives and bring about misfortune. Isaiah 45:7 - “I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things."

Deuteronomy 22:20-21 = obviously morally bankrupt. how can you say that book is a blessing

  • @silljos1 Job was before christ. he didnt have jesus which makes a big difference. because jesus came god has the right to bless his people because of the sacrifice. all promises are yes and amen. look at duetoronmy 22. these are the blessings we receive because of him now

  • @mreft What about the story of Job? God took everything from him, even allowed his children as well as his wealth to be taken from him.

  • poverty is not from god because poverty is lack. abundance is part of the kingdom. abundance and finacial blessings is not earned but rather is a blessing solely by his grace

  • This is a very big subject. What is it that you plan to do if any thing about this? What is it that you feel should be done with the monies from these churches? What do you think the community should do, should we keep going to these self supporting churches? How do you get rid of the "slave mentality" of these churches and church goers?

  • So true. If you look at those big churches from a business viewpoint (I'm a marketing grad) it's pretty clear that they run things exactly how you'd run things if you were just in it for the money.

ie. entertainment, emotional based, lots of preaching on tithing but hardly any true discipleship. No communion or charity, almost nothing that isn't designed to increase *raw numbers* and therefore tithing.

If you run your church like a business, it'll become profit focussed like a business.

  • I just sent an email to a friend about this very issue of our Lord Jesus commissioning the Church and not the Government. He's on point. If anyone wants me to send this email, just hit me up. Peace.

  • yo bro your the first dead on the problem who hasnt formed a posse and brought them to the table and split the pie, in my old crew if you dont eat i dont eat and if i eat you eat and like you say they just keep gettin bigger and justify it, livin large while blameing those who gotta deal or kill for creating our own misery just so we can try to eat good too and live like they do on the moneys that could stop the deal or kill to get fat and get out of the game as it is it aint no game!.

  • Celebrities and athletes all go to megachurches so that's supposed to attract more people.

  • MAN BLAIR U BE PREACHIN
