On my blog a student queried how to use the jaw to go forward and back for angling the air stream.
They were concerned about conflicting information about how to use the jaw for flute effects, such as dynamics, tapers, large interval leaps etc. This is a starter video about the difference between jaw motion that's easy and instantly useful vs. jaw jutting or "jaw boning" (as Kujala calls it) which is an overuse of the wrong muscles, and can lead to joint problems after hours a day of practise.
