Dianne's performance is outstanding - one of the greatest comedic performances to hit the screen. Credit also has to go to Woody Allen and Douglas McGrath's side-splitting script that provided Dianne with the words.

I love Dianne Wiest in this role. She absolutely deserved the Oscar. She also won an Academy Award after performing Holly in Woody Allen's "Hanna and her sisiters" in 1986.
