It's called the AKM. And Ironically enough, the AK74M has been the primary service weapon of the Russian military much longer than the Iconic AK-47.

@61fordf2504x4 The main purpose of an infantry firearm is not to be accurate. Has any firearm been designed to be made as cheaply yet be as reliable? Nyet! The AK is for use in the field, not for target practice, and it has served its purpose extremely well.

@Andersng1 the AK 47 design came about in 1941 is when the first type appeared then the redesign started trials in 1943,and the version that most of us see and purchase is the AK 50 not the AK 47.
