Cindy Bullens - Survivor

I heard this song literally 1 time back in 1980something? and never heard it again...but the chorus stayed in my head. I had no idea who the artist was or even what the name was but I remembered the "you're a survivor " chorus line. Years later, the internet is "invented" and I start yahoo'ing and Googling the chorus line and finally found it.. I think its a pretty cool tune. A bit "chic" oriented but still pretty cool. Cindy Bullens now has a new band, The Refugees, with a different style of music, but highly polished and impressive both vocally & song-writing wise.
If Cindy, or reps for Cindy don't want this song here, please let me know - I'll remove promptly. I don't do this Youtube stuff for money; just for fun.

@TFTDougrich . I don't have the album. I found this song online without knowing the song name or the artist. I just remembered 3 words I heard on the radio once years ago: "your a survivor". I don't remember what site it was on. I think I just followed links from a lyrics site or something. Several people have mentioned 'high school history". I'd like to hear it.

Think it was 1978 or 79- it got a lot of airplay on KSAN in San Francisco...

I didn't have to hear the song. I know it. I couldn't remember her name as she got very little or no airplay and I caught the tail end of this song back in the 70's and could only remember part of the lyrics included you're a survivor. This is a killer tune. Thanks for posting. I ain't heard about35 yrs.

Great song. Bought the cassette in 1979 and wore it out. Great artist. Just sorry she didn't get more widespread play on the air.

Great memories here - I was working in Canada north of the Arctic Circle in 79 and heard this on some US radio station late one night. No record store there and I contacted somebody by ham radio and got them to buy and send me the album. The album is still in Canada and I have been nearly 30 years in Africa, so it's been a while since I heard this.
