I use a boat wrench as well. I put short legs on the bottom of the feeder to keep the feeder motor from hitting the ground. And yes found out the same way you did that you must tie off the handle. The short legs have saved my timer many times. Next time I'm at the property I'll video my feeders.

Great idea, but I think you can get away with not even using the silicone since the ring can hold it on with the lid yeah?
On the winch I see what you mean on that one lol.
