Last night I videotaped some meteors with my night vision camera. Except the third one all meteors are Perseids.

انها تصدم بالفلاف الغازي المكون من النيتورجين والاكسجين والغازات النبيلة وبعضها يسمى عاصفة شهب اذا سقطن بسرعة وزمن متناسبين

I'm no astronomer, but they are pieces of comet or asteroid debris that burn up when they hit the atmosphere, so basically when they stop flashing is because they are completely burned up, it does seem that they burn brightest just before disappearing.

May seem like a dumb question, but how come they disappear in what seems to be mid flight. I would think that they would continue streaking across the whole sky, but they appear randomly and disappear randomly. Anyone know the answer???
