Well we weren't expecting this: Steinberg has previewed the CC121 Advanced Integration Controller, an all-new USB controller for its Cubase 4 DAW. This is the first time the company has released a hardware control surface for its software since the ill-fated Houston was launched back in 2000.

Hm okay. Thanks for your feedback. For this money I myself would prefer a midicontroller with keys (piano) and faders en knobs.. But maybe I should give it a try first ;)

because you get better feedback and control with the ai knob, plus controlling knobs is FAR from intuitive with a mouse pointer; much finer control with an actual physical knob.

Nope, but that makes no sense at all? If you use the mouse anyway and even point it at a fader... why not click and drag then. I just can't see how that makes this controller worth his money

including hovering the mouse over a knob/fader and controlling it instantly?

You can do this with any midi-controller imo

i can't taste what I can do with this device
i want to see and hear music production instead of crap talk

Nobody with a brain would buy any hardware from Steinberg.
It will no doubt be discontinued within a couple of years and they will not support it. Just like the Houston that I bought!
