@callmeshane303 If only more people thought like Gabe Newell...
Piracy. Big in Russia. He provides this service called Steam, BOOM! 20% more Russians actually buying for content, and at relatively decent prices at that.

Im somewhat confused, but with coperate so called downsizing, I'm not so much...I originally signed up for mail only cheap 4.99/month plan, 2 a month thru mail..., well, nothing has changed! I'm pretty sure it was the more expensive plans that went up, either way, Netflix, a smaller increasse, prob would have been acceptable, with ADVANCE MAILED notification!!! I DO UNDERSTAND why they R leaving in droves...,<D 1/9/2011

Btw, I've had Netflix for 4 years. I'm annoyed that although you can freeze/put on hold your account activity they repeatedly continued to charge me and when I called to get it straightened out the rep was pleasant and apologetic saying that it shouldn't have happened but danced around why I was being billed in spite of a hold that was to be lifted in over a month away. They've done this like 3 times since then so although I loved Netflix I have no choice but to cancel.

If all their stuff was digital I wouldn't care about the increase. To be honest I love the instant and hate the back and forth DVD business. I'm sure it's tough on them in a way because my mailman would periodically put multiple DVD's in my neighbor's box (do you think they bothered to return them to me or Netflix?) and I would call and report that I never received them - they had to eat the cost on the DVDs and the postage to send/receive them twice. Charge me $20-$25 give me unlimited instant.

how about SCC and IPT ;)
netflix put hollywood video out to the farm, over the last few years blockbusters have been closing more and more stores due to the same lost in customers. It seems to me that netflixs was not hurting over the lack of people paying for what they offer. Killing to major companies in less then ten years is a major change in what people are willing to pay. To jack up the price is like telling there customers that they dont think there is any where eles for them to get the movies. uncool move.
