So he (Neil Young) wrote this song that was called "Oh to live on sugar mountain" which was a lament for his lost youth. And it went like this... [sings a few verses].

And I thought, God, you know, if we get to 21 and there's nothing after that, that's a pretty bleak future, so I wrote a song for him, and for myself just to give me some hope. It's called The Circle Game."

why are people evil?

i am a good person! can somebody answer this question?

That may be a little deep to post on you tube. Having said that......don't you think that it's necessary to have both good and evil in order to differentiate between the two. Consider day and night, yin and yang, and so on. It might be a worthwhile goal to learn how to cope with evil people.

We are all born in "original sin". Confession, contrition and atonement puts us back on the road toward the light and wholeness. PRIDE (Self as God) keeps us from living righteously. Selflessness=Good, Self indulgence=Evil.

Why are people evil? We are scared so we act out of fear, or we lack full knowledge so we act of ignorance. Christ died at the hands of scared persecutors who were ignorant of the true situation. This is why from the cross he would say "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do"
Fear and ignorance cause many people to do things they would not normally do. Christ understood this and forgave, but he was special, most humans do not forgive with grace. Most people want to be good.

Wow now i am old and this song makes sense.
