we live in rochester as well, our son michael is autistic and m.r.he is self injurious like chucky.he takes it out on mommy often.we don't get any respite either.we get some help but mikey stuggles with changes and bursts of anger. we think about you three often.please know that you are not alone.we can't find any facility for mikey either.let's hope it gets some attention for "our boys" our thoughts are with chucky and you always.

I work at the DDSO on In rochester ny on west fall rd.And we are closing by 2013.And it is ridiculous that we are closing.Because there are families out there like this that need our help.I worked with chucky before.And i love my job.So he was not a problem for the staff there.But they stopped respite.For what reason i don't know.I am so sorry for your loss.You and Mr B are were very nice people.The community needs to fight to keep the DDSO open.
