'Ronan's Escape' - Short Film on Bullying [HD]

Written & Directed by A.J. Carter. Winner of 10 international film awards, this stunning short film set in the rural wheat belt of Western Australia, provides a candid insight into the life of Ronan (David Lazarus), a 14 yr old boy who's been bullied at school his whole life. This accurate & controversial portrayal of life for someone who has fallen victim to bullying and the repercussions which exist, is told by director A.J. Carter in a unique, visually exposition intensive format with very little use of dialogue.

Ronan's Escape presents arbitrary scenes rather than traditional storytelling techniques which provokes audience discussion and individual interpretation of the scenes while reflecting on their own personal experiences.

For a lot of reasons, like if they have a group and its 4 over 1 or like if ur a kid that's not very strong, and they know some karate crap. Just think what if u were in his position, knowing nothing will change, getting weaker while watching the strong get stronger. When I was in 6th grade I got bullied by these three kids. But I was very social and I eventually met this kid who had some friends. At the time I just had one Polish friend and a few acquaintances (not people to count on). Eventually we all got into a big fight and the bullying became a few insulting words every so often. It's all about your own mentality. If you are strong and fight back, people will have more respect for you. He isn't blind.
