Your theory lacks one very important consideration. It entirely misses the possibility that the person using the pickup line has a face like King Kong's ass just after the biggest crap he's ever done.
Then, no amount of smooth talking fancy pickup lines are going to get you anywhere. You might talk for a while but when it comes to the crunch, if you're REALLY UGLY, you ain't going home with her. END OF STORY.
