LOL @ the lack of research in videos like this one. Most people believed in a spherical earth in the past, it is a myth that people believed the Earth was flat.

The disagreement be Columbus and his critics was over the size of the Earth, not whether or not it was flat or spherical.

There main problems here:

2. evolution mindset which makes you assume people of the past were ignorant

Now ur argument is why does it not say sphere. Well the Bible was not written originally in English, Language A does not = language B Its callled language barriers, the same reason as why in Russian language only one word is used to describe 2 things. Like "Ruka" wich can mean both arm or hand.

Now if a language barrier exists in modern language translation, how much of a barrier exists between a ancient and a modern one

If you want to believe that all of the Bible is true, then you should probably also accept that all science is false-- you can't pick and choose what parts of the Bible you want to believe, so don't pick and choose what parts of science you want to believe. In other words, no modern medicine for you, no computer, and until you can describe how to make gasoline without using the science of chemistry, no car too.

Wow, you really fail at common sense for a username of CommonReason, the grasshopper thing is a METAPHOR, say it with me now: METAPHOR. And not all Bibles have the same exact words, a lot of Bibles were made when you had to type it all out, and if someone worded something different, then it was printed that way, now that we have that kind of technology, there are already thousands if not more misprinted Bibles, and not to mention that it can be hard to translate from the original Hebrew version.
