****WARNING**** DONT BLAST YOUR VOLUME IT COULD BE VERY ANNOYING BUT KEEP IT AT A SUITABLE LEVEL **** Simple simulation out of boredom...in no way is this simulation an ACTUAL effect of being hit with a flashbang but simply a visualization(as close as i can think of, i've never been hit with one). I do not own the sound effects in the video as they belong to their rightful copyrighted/licensed owners and is purely for reenactment/non-commercial purposes ONLY. All visual effects are of my own. I hope you enjoy, here are some additional facts for anyone new to a flashbang.
The flashbang(also known as a Stun grenade, bang grenade or FNDD[Flash and Noise Diversionary Device]) is used in almost every law enforcement/military branch i can think of. It is the key to safe insertions and non-lethal arrests. One very common grenade is the M-84 Flashbang. The device, once detonated, emits a bright flash of light(6-8 MILLION candle power or candela) and unleashes a deafening sound at 170-180 dB SPL!! To give you perception, 0 dB is the weakest sound detectable to the human ear, while 60 dB is normal speach level and 140 dB causes painful damage to the ear(Your iPod headphones probably run around 120 dB tops) The bright flash stimulates all photosensitive cells in the retina making vision impossible for about 5 seconds(mine is more like 12 seconds for emphasis) until the retina returns to an unstimulated condition. Being hit with a flashbang does not seem fun at all(just a little). On rare occasions flashbangs have been known to cause permanent injuries to anyone exposed within close range but is the most effective way to take out a lethal factor when incapacitation is needed(usually of a hostile target) or a distraction is required for safe room clearing.

  • With an airsoft spring 280fps I put the nozzle right into my ear and shot it in both ears... It was pretty stupid and the ringing sound was wat I heard for 2 days straight.

  • @secretname911 The ringing is a result of the air from the gun putting an extreme amount of stress on your eardrum (essentially stretching it). The exact same concept happens with a Flashbang (and Concussion grenades). Yes, that wasn't the smartest of ideas; the fact that you created a near vacuum could have been potentially permanently damaging to your hearing. Hopefully your hearing is alright now. Thanks for watching my video!

  • Would I be alowed to use this sound effect if I credited you and did it non commercially (nonprofit) ?

  • @xbjohnson Hey, thank you for watching my video! This isn't my sound effect, you can find it in several sound packs that games use. So if you have any retail PC shooters or something check the sound pack folder or look online and see which one suits you best. No need to credit me. :) Thank you for your concern!

  • @LilGunner030 lol yah its alright nao.

  • @lukebell1100 Sure, lets go with that.

  • flashbangs expand the occular capularies and make your vision blurry and white and the piercing sound blocks your hearing, even after the effects are over you might notice your vision "flashing" like your blinking 10 times a second

  • @BanzaiLUKE Thank you very much :)

  • one time some kid slapped me in the ear at camp and it sounded like that and when i was right about to beat the shit out of him some fat mexican dick wad had to come stop me ...thought i should have included that last part 4 some reason :)
