The song was composed by Klaus Badelt and Bian Liunian for the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games in Beijing. Klaus Badelt is a student and collaborator of Hans Zimmer (composer of Pirates of the Caribbeans, Rain Man and many other soundtracks). Klaus Badelt also composed the original soundtrack of the now internationally successful Chinese film "Wu Ji - The Promise."
