  • "Is that a giant alien death star ship parked over by Mercury? asks Hamilton Nolan at Gawker. No, it's not. "Professional scientists" explain that it's "actually an image of Mercury itself, which appears due to the way the telescope imagery is double-processed to enhance its clarity.

  • What was the dark space between UFO and mercury?

  • A UFO? I would have rather kept to a Yeti riding on Nessie

  • And we wonder why our society is falling apart at the seams. Kids failing in school. People like this guy should try imagining his IQ is above 40

  • looks like the starship enterprise

  • Wow, that is one big piece of Space Junk! Well, no way they can park this thing in my driveway...

  • Whatever it was it appears to be about a quarter of the size of Mercury.

  • Holy shit weather balloons have developed space flight and cloaking technology!

  • @ShadysEyes No. "Dimensions" (in physics i.e., reality) are not "parallel worlds", they are a useful construct we use to help iron out some of the math for string theory (and others). That is not to say they don't exist - they might. But they are not alternate worlds where "science works different".

Science is demonstrably, observably, and entirely the same everywhere in the universe. That's why it works. Remember: Science is a method of discovery, not a body of knowledge.

  • @MisterDataJack other dimensions will be different. science is not the same everywhere.
