We covered NVIDIA's GTC 2009 Conference today and this was a snippet showing the speed of the new Fermi Architecture (right) vs the current top end Telsa (left). The Tesla performed at roughly 2-4 FPS, while the Fermi fly through at 15+ FPS!

  • Its Tesla not Telsa dude!

  • Yeah, besides just like DX9 cards on DX10, you can unlock some DX11 features. My uncle who is on a GTX 295 is running Dirt 2 with a good chunk of DX11 features already.

Also, it's going to take some time before games truely use it. By then they'd have already moved onto DX12 at this rate.

  • Spot the one using netbook in the demo?!

  • @DeadFredVideo Actually cuda is alot better than open cl in alot of ways want to know about them then search google and stop the fanboism i dont care that you like ati more than nvidia in fact no one cares.

  • maybe at a later date, but right now hydra technology is still in its infancy and doesn't have the advantage of lots of capital like a major company. they also don't have much support from either company, mostly because it destroys exclusivity. as far as running different old cards with new cards forget about it. they don't scale correctly. it would end up micro stuttering so bad as to make any game unplayable, even if they use something besides afr; object rendering is an example.

  • I hope the ones that are launching on March 26 doesn't have wooden screws and the misalignment of the Power connectors. lol.

  • Ati 4870 has tessalation technology, remember the DX 10.1?

  • @thesevenghost lols. crysis nowadays is just an ordinary game, i remember last 2years that no card can run it smoothly..

look how fast technology is changing.. ;)

  • You mean tessalations?

  • soft
