Implosion of the 31 story Ocean Tower (Leaning tower of South Padre) on Dec. 13, 2009. Weight of building 55,000 tons, 378 feet 9 inches above the grade. Height greater than the tallest concrete building ever imploded as reported in Engineering News Record. Construction had been halted in 2008 when it was discovered that the building had settled unevenly. Was leaning slightly. Imploded by CDI. Brought to you by AirPadreKiteboarding.

    Actually you've got it backwards. The majority of eyewitnesses report hearing a sequence of loud explosions, so the typical "debunker" argument addresses this by saying that those sounds were just the building collapsing, with glass and structural materials failing catastrophically and causing sounds that are just like explosions.

    Learn to debunk properly.
