So as most of you already know Jayden has eczema. I have never really mentioned in detail what I do to care for his skin so I thought I would make this video. ( :

Often times eczema can be genetic and that is the case for Jayden. Thomas has eczema as well. Most babies who develop eczema will grow out of it as they get older but because Thomas has it as an adult most likely Jayden will have it all his life as well.

There are many different things that can trigger an eczema outbreak such as: stress, allergies, allergic reactions, dry cold weather, etc. Jayden has only had one really, really bad outbreak and we think it was because of some allergic reaction to something because one of his eyes was swollen shut as well. He went to an allergist and was tested for basic food allergies and all came back negative. So at this time we do not no what aggravates Jayden's eczema although I have noticed it does get worse when it is cold outside. He was given a prescription for liquid Zyrtec to use if he has another really bad flare. Just in case it is allergy related.

Thomas has a much more severe case of eczema than Jayden does. He has been battling eczema all his life. He has to use a steroid cream to keep it under control and even then he usually always has red patches on his arms and neck. He has been tested for everything under the sun and they can't figure out what aggravates his eczema or what triggers his flares either. He has also went through a million different types of creams and lotions and nothing seems to really work all that well.

At this time there is no cure for eczema or any real answer to what causes it. All the medicines and creams out there are only used to minimize the itchy red rashes.

  • Has your dr ordered and allergy test for your baby? My daughter had eczema as well and when I had her tested she came out allergic to wheat, milk, eggs, soy and peanuts. once i changed her diet I no longer have problems with eczema at all! check out my vids I will be posting more about how i cured her eczema with diet! food allergies come out in baby skin and perhaps your husband as well!

  • @MandyCandy66 yep he was tested for the most common allergies in small children but all the tests came back negative,

  • We thought Connor had eczema as well but he's seen to diff. peds and they both seem to think he doesn't. He gets big bright rashy cheeks when they weather acts up. So they prescribed us a steroid cream which we ONLY use when needed. We might have to try the aveeno wash, we've been using method baby (@target) which is more natural then the huggies, j&j wash, etc but it does have a slight apple fragrance but i believe that is nat. as well. I'm sorry ur lil guy has to go thu that! Great video!!

  • yea eczema sucks but we are doing a really good job of keeping it under control.

  • My boy had bad eczema from being a baby. I got a cream sent from england and it cured his eczema after almost 3 months. It did not work overnight but after a week i did notice a difference, His skin was less dry and not as fiery. It is called tiny troubles baby cream by mama nature of london. I wish there was a cream in the states that was this good.

  • I would recommend trying bentonite clay mixed with organic apple cider vinegar. You can look on here for bunches of videos on how to apply the clay. I have eczema and I used this and it has cleared all the way up and does not itch at all. This is a true God send! My doctors also told me to apply plenty of greasy oils and stuff but that was overwhelming for me also. I swear by the bentonite clay and I have no more eczema problems. i also use it in my hair. Its good for babies and adults

  • Thank you!

  • Thank you for the tips I will try those for my 15 month old son.

  • aveeno is probably the best Product for Babies and People who have eczema..

I use it as well, its expensive, but its worth it !

  • A REALLY good eczema cream that you can buy online is Vanicream. My daughter has it really bad. She gets it over her whole body and face. I put Vanicream all over her several times a day and it is AWESOME! I also use that Gentle Naturals at times, it isn't bad. But try ordering some Vanicream. It rocks. It was developed at the Mayo clinic specifically for people with eczema.

  • try cerave its very good it has no fragrance although it is a little pricey and ask your doctor Triamcinilone that works wonders for me
