  • How did it go?

  • It went quite well. I wish I had the video camera then, I would have made a better video. I made one called "scary clowns" about the get together.

  • btw, I did a voicepost in response to you over at LJ.

  • Hrm, I looked, I am not seeing it.

  • hey i feel very fight or flight in odd surroundings, its very annoying, when you are looking at it and see how illogical it is, but you can't do anything to change it.

  • That is the whole thing...intellectually, in my mind, I can see how ridiculous it is, but my body has already shot itself into overdrive. My body is in fear, my mind is at ease, and the result is a panic attack.

  • ditto what the other ppl said. I will be praying for you to have a safe and FUN trip!

  • I understand completely about the coffee, the chocolate milk (with me it's soy choclate milk because I'm lactose intollerant) the late night thinking and the lack of driver's licence, and the nervousness about crowds.

Just breathe, you will do great. You are brave.

  • I've got a book at home (i'm at work) that explains the theory and gives practical advice on it all. I just can't think of it at present. I'll message you with the title and author if you like Nalora. Believe me it works- ive used it my self. :)

  • Your body has been conditioned to react this way by irrational fears and it needs to uncondition itself to get back to normality. There's a form of meditation that aims at taking you back to pre-cerebral cortex condition, eg the reptilian brain condition where irrational fears dont exist. The more you attain this condition the more it becomes part of your everyday life, thus no irrational fears. :)
