2001 Buick Regal GS vs 2002 Buick Regal GS

My 01 Regal GS vs my brothers 2002 Regal GS. His black GS has exhaust, smaller pulley, CAI, and tune by McCord. Mine has gone a best of 14.56 @ 92 and his runs 13.90s. These aren't the fastest cars but they're fun daily drivers. This was done on closed roads too...

nice! im looking at getting one of these. how do you remove the speed limiter? obd2 connector?

We take our cars to someone to get tuned, he uses software on his laptop hooked up to the OBD2 port. You can probably by a handheld one too. check out regalgs. org ....they have a forum

i have a 2001 Regal GS, drove it to school one day and a guy in a 2008 mustang GT with intake, header and full exhaust. was talkin shit, so we lined up and raced power poll to poll. all i had to do was hit "PERF SHIFT" and turn traction control on. needless to say i waxed some ass!

HPtuner software, DHP software or buy a stage 1 computer from zzperformance, intense racing or wbody store. all have speed limiters removed, more timing, more fuel, enhanced transmission performance and raised rev limiters.

I don't think that many younger people know about the Buick Regal and what a great car it is. My dad has and '04 Regal Joseph Abboud, Supercharged version, and it's really plush and has plenty of power. It can go from 0-60 in 6.6 sec, which is very respectable for any sedan. It's the OHV 3.8L, and it gets V8 power in a V6 package with low end torque and horsepower (280 ft-lb@3600rpm and 240 hp @5200rpm). On the highway, it can reach 30mpg and averages 22.1mpg and that's not granny footing it.
