@CwalkinZoom Well it is probably a good thing you guys have to go through so much because lots of motorcycle accidents here in the states. It's probably too easy here and I know Germans tend to do things the right way which is the only way to do them. Be safe out there and have fun : )

you only have to pass a test of 25 questions to get the permit? maaan... here in germany, you have to pass a test of 30 questions, go to a first aid seminar which takes about 6 hours, at least about 15 driving lessons and a driving test which takes about 45 minutes.... the results are high costs and much passed time..

@JKK250 Mine was not even a written test. Just walked up to a desk and took the eye test. Then had to walk over to a mulitple choice machine and answer I think 25 questions. I was out of there in 15 mins. Be very careful man and think of everyone as trying to kill you because people treat motorcyclist like crap and don't see them often.

im 15 1/2 and have a 2009 ninja now but i dont understand how to get my permit, all i do is take a written test right?
Dude I live in NY I've studied the Motorcycle Handbook and I'm going to take the practice test tomorrow. I'm 18 and was wondering how much did you pay to take the test and what kind of questions they asked?

@LambLeg87 It was a very easy test but I'm sure your handbook will be different than the ones down here. I don't remember the cost either but it would be different too I'd imagine. Good luck.

How tall do you have to be to ride a bike like this? I was at a dealer today and felt pretty intimidated.

@scvs2 I'm 5' 10" and I feel perfectly comfortable on it. I've read about lots of women who ride one that are 5' 3"- 5' 7" with not problems and guys up to 6' 3". It's a very forgiving bike and very light at 333lbs dry and gets 65 mpg which is great considering gas is almost $4 a gallon. I've put 3400 miles on mine and love it.

@matt78tv Excellent good to know, I'm about to go for my Learners permit. I thought the bike would weight more, but at least now I know I can take it into my condo elevator knowing it won't get stolen on the outside parking lot. (Lets hope they let me) hahaha

@scvs2 Yeah, you can get them about anywhere you want them. This weekend at work it came a hail storm and my friend pulled his into the mall right through a fire escape door with no problems.
