Thrashers Might be Moving to Winnipeg?

On October 3rd, 2009 on Hockey Night in Canada's segment the Satellite Hotstove, hockey analyst, Al Strachan, stated that a financial group based in Toronto is working to move the Atlanta Thrashers, whose owners, the Spirit group of eight partners, have been embroiled in disputes and legal wrangling for about four years over control of the NHL team, to Winnipeg.

Tampa Bay?Didnt they almost loose their team too? Whats 21000 seats when they charge an average of $35.77? Peg City Jets charge a average of $81 a seat. Season tix sold out solid for the next 3 years with a waiting list capped @ 8000(Im on it :D). @81creations Tampa Bay couldn't even sell out playoff games, so the fact that they have 21,000 seat is irrelevant, because most of them are empty. Atlanta had the same problem as Winnipeg back when they moved. And that is there was no local investors willing to put up the money to keep the team there. I feel for the REAL Thrasher fans cause I know what it's like to lose a team. I am from Winnipeg and am extremely happy we have our team back.

Winnipeg now has a hockey team, but one that sucks ass who chokes in the second half of the season, The Atlanta Thrashers suck and Winnipeg is going to get destroyed by the Capitals and Lighnting. just wait till next season when winnipeg is placed in the Western Conference, then they will get their "CANADIAN" ass kicked.. since obviouslly you dont know hockey, the western conference is the hardest conference bitch. eh

Reason is even with 13,000 season tickets sold with a 5-year commitment, there is no new money coming in from the 2nd year through the 5th year when they are in business! On average, every single ticket holder does NOT show up to every single game! meaning, that the profit from the food they sell will go down, understand that dumbass?
