its now just become a huge marketing scam to give you a day off work/school and make you buy a shit ton of food 'in the name of family' its bull shit. my family doesn't celebrate any holidays and i'm %100 cool with that, but when i was little we created our own 'holiday' and it was named after our family name and we would rent a place every year and have it just for family it was like a better christmas because it wasn't all fake and it was in the spring.
In my family Thanksgiving is about family, food and getting together and being thankful for the little things in life. We dont really celebrate the indian and pilgrim thing. Before we eat, we do the prayer then we all say 3 things we're thankful for.
I completly agreee, I personaly don't celibrate it eather. It is the same idea as St. Patricks day, it is the celibration of st. patrick driving the "snakes" out of irland...In other words Killing Pagans in the name of christianity.
Great video, I am happy to see others who share my idea of the holidays celebration of a genocide of a people.
my dad's side is really conservative, hard core "keep america the way it is" and i am not like that at all. they don't want equal rights for everyone and that pisses me off because a lot of people that i know are gay and its not fair for me to have rights (marriage etc) that they don't have right now.
i think thanksgiving for them is more like political bashing day
This video was awesome, I'm reeeally happy to hear you talk about what Thanksgiving really is. Subscribed!

Thanksgiving has evolved into a day to be thankful for what you have and if you lucky its food, family and friends.

i think that what thanksgiving celebrates is bad
\but that it causes good things like people/family coming together and i think it makes people friendlier bc its a holiday so i just celebrate that
