  • thank you for these posts -- i am working on a paper about deming's 14 points and TQM in public libraries and the 3 videos are just fantastic.

i hope to someday become a director of my library and introduce these concepts in public service.

    thanks again for the posts.

  • Very cool! I'd love to see the paper! I'll email you with my Gmail address.

  • Strange that most American management still doesn't understand what Deming was teaching. Thanks for posting. Every time I watch this, I learn something new.

  • You are welcome - and thanks to everyone who is watching.

I think that it is an American sickness that he keeps being ignored. Perhaps it can be condensed down to short-term/I win-you loose thinking. Huge cash-fed egos of the CEOs & greed based investors.

  • @vonnegutisdead Read Think and grow rich,by Napoleon Hill

  • Inspiring

  • incredible man, now apply this principle to all business, big and small along with a relationship economy and a social value wage payment system and youve got yourself a perfect economy based on the sole target of self and human progress and improvement, rather than the continued and corrupt target of maximising financial profit...

Just got the politics to solve now... :-)

  • @lilxghettodragon

the intrinsic interconnected nature of a globalised economy....

  • @PrinceNoctisCaelum This isn't a bunch of lies. There are few complex problems that have simple answers. What Deming says is true. What you are saying is also true in that it is the attitude of the CEOs trickling down to management and in my opinion most of America. An I win / you loose attitude that is selfish and self serving. If our country had a more holistic attitude of teamwork and cooperation, we'd all be better off!

  • 2:40-3:09 what a bunch of lies.

The real reason is really quite simple and all too obvious: corporate greed.

  • @orthodoxxxboiii: "Americans are idiots for not following this philosophy...". That didn't make any sense what you said. Because Mr. Deming was an American. What you should have said was the big 3 are idiots for not following this philosophy. However, Ford has got it's act together. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for GM and Chrysler. I think GM will probably pull through, but I have my doubt about Chrysler, even if the do have Fiat helping them.

  • this is a very good video. Thanx to murphicus. I showd this video to my student as the content is exactly the same as what i am teaching about...thank you..
