In Gold Reef City the zulu dancers showed us a mine dance with helmets, boots and kaching kaching!

  • So did my dad; took us to the mine compounds on a Sunday morning for the tribal dance competitions! Yes, sadly, those beautiful days are forever gone. The mining era had its good times. That was before the people became less important than money for the bosses. How many of you remember those Christmas present days? Sigh!

  • my dad use to take me to the mine on a sunday morning to see the gumboot dance, would love to see it again but its not done much anymore another culture that is dying so sad.
