Othniel C. Marsh, an American paleontologist described and named 'Apatosaurus ajax' in 1877.
The remains were incomplete however.

Two years later, in 1879, he named 'Brontosaurus excelsus' based on a more complete specimen.

Because the 'Apatosaurus' was found first, it's name takes priority, and the name 'Brontosaurus' is not valid.

Marsh, the man who found the bones in Wyoming way back in 1879, purposely assembled the heads incorrectly.
The body he found was headless.
So, he used the head of the closest dinosaur he could find.
(which was miles away, not only in a different quarry, but in a different layer of strata)

The head he found was already attached to another body.
(the body of a Camarasaurus)

This mistake lasted until 1975, when Dr. Jack McIntosh and Dr. David Berman proved to the scientific community that the 'Brontosaurus' was actually the body of an 'Apatosaurus'.

So, basically, if you combine the body of an 'Apatosaurus' with the head of a 'Camarasaurus', you will get a 'Brontosaurus'...
of which there is no such thing.

  • 3:00 Did he say Godzilla?

It sure looked like Godzilla flying around his head right before it.

  • @RudySpino Yup. :)

  • I don't understand the point or logic here. Through racism you demonstrate that science made a mistake that it admitted, therefore the Bible is fact? Really I dont get it.

  • Exactly where does this video have anything to do with the Bible?

  • you're religion isn't based on the bible? that wasn't the second word brought up about 20 seconds into the video?

  • What sort of religion are we teaching with this video?

  • Yeah, shame on science for being able to admit its mistakes and move on.

  • is this for real? A christian group is using horrible outdated stereo types for laughs? how can they be this behind? I also like how they try to shit on science, but then have to admit it was scientists who discovered the error, not anyone else. so in other words...science works.

  • @theTRUTHgroup Okay lets say you are right okay? WTF Is your point? If ONE dinosaur isn't real all the other MILLIONS of bones are fake?

  • this is so funny! only white culture makes sense i agree.

  • That kind of racism belongs in a museum. A real musuem not a creationist shrine of stupidity.

  • To anyone confused, the Brontosaurus IS a real animal, and looks just like you think it does, however it's name is technically apatosaurus because that was the first name given to, but they found a baby and adult and named them different things.

  • That's interesting, it took science to correct an error made earlier, intentional or not. Explain how creationism would have corrected a similar mistake, what principal of creationism would help a paleontologist fix that?

  • This is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo racist.

  • 1877: Apotasaurus fossils discovered.

1879: More complete species thought to be found, named Brontosaurus.

1975: It is discovered that the head on the Brontosaurus specimen is actually that of a Camarasaurus on an Apotasaurus body. Scientific community erases the term Brontosaurus and publicises error.

2007: Christians make a wholly unacceptable, extremely racist video lampooning a genuine and well-known mistake, long since corrected.

2011: Atheist Scotsman finds video. Becomes EXTREMELY angry.

"What sort of religion are we teaching with this video?"

Obviously the Religion Ken Ham told you to follow...or was this video not taken in his Bastard Temple of pseudo-scientific, bible-raping, religiousity????

I hope you've been reading the comments on here from other believers. We are Justified in our anger and disappointment with this entire ministry. You can always delete this stuff for the Glory of God! :)

"Exactly where does this video have anything to do with the Bible?"

...exactly. Does anything you say on this channel have anything to do with the Bible? Or are you just trying to fight the mass scientific conspiracy that says the earth (as we can study it) is Billions of years old?

...kind of reminds me of the scientific conspiracy that said the earth revolves around the sun and not the other way around....
