We need your help to find the person who sent this amazing message in a bottle. Please share this video with your friends!

What's the most amazing thing you could find on a beach? Two New Zealand women think they've found it (in Australia), and are keen to share its story through their video "Roma's Message in a Bottle".

On 4 June 2010, Isabel Worboys found Roma's bottle washed up on the reef of Lady Elliot Island, Queensland, Australia. Her singer/songwriter daughter Narelle, who was with her, has created this moving photo tribute about the message in the bottle.

Narelle and Isabel say, "Please help us find Roma by sharing the video with your friends!"

DOWN TO DETAILS

Yes, we really did find this bottle, and yes, it looked exactly as you see it in the photos. They have not been edited or photoshopped.

The flower in the bottle is a fabric frangipani blossom (plumeria rubra). You can view a real example here: http://www.types-of-flowers.org/frangipani.html

The message was 3 pages long, typed on blue 'seascape' paper, tied with shot-purple curling ribbon.

The 2 message clips you see in the video are part of the real message that was in the bottle. The text is a little blurry because my hand was shaking when I took the photo. Well, wouldn't you be a bit overcome if you found it? =)

  • Beautiful work Narelle! I found my own little 'message in a bottle' today when tidying out some papers I came across your card with the link for this video. Thankyou - what a lovely treat in my afternoon. I look forward to hearing more of your music very soon.

  • @HeatherJGummer Thanks for your encouragement, Heather! Really appreciated.

The big hurdle to creating new music (over which I've laboured for over a year) is solving the recording method/studio problem. I need one close to home (if not at home). Do you have any knowledge on this topic or know someone who does? Shall I email you?

  • i truly am sorry i was having a terrible day the other day. i was really and truly wrong for what i said. im sorry. i know personaly that words hurt. please forgive me. the video was good. the only thing that was wrong with the video was the singing was a little bit loud. however whoever was singing has a great voice.

  • @mbranbb You're forgiven. How r u doing now? If you'd like some1 2 talk 2, feel free to private msg me.

  • @mbranbb As for the video, I was interested right away when you mentioned the audio disparity. Other ppl have said that the narration is louder than the song, and because the song is heard first, they adjust their volume accordingly and so get a shock when the speaking starts. We don't have the software to improve on this yet. I'm mystified why you should have heard it the other way around tho. Did you try altering the volume on the video and on your computer? Best wishes, Narelle =)

  • @mbranbb Hi there. This channel is a no swearing zone. Would you care to rephrase in polite language?

  • Everything about this video is beautiful.
