As Dracula, Bela Lugosi nailed that role. Christopher Lee was ok but I'd say he's a few notches down from being the best.

@stationranger We all have our preferences, and all for different reasons. I like Bela very much, but do prefer Lee. However, ONLY Bela could have done the line, "There are far worse things...awaiting man...than...death..." or "Children of the night..." In that, I don't think anyone could come close to him.

Dracula runs away most of the film! Why doesn't he just transform as a bat? What the hell is he doing manually burying some woman alive? Why does he not just kill her? How can Helsing simply push him away at the end?
