Thank you for your series. I have recently started playing after wanting to for years. This week I went to my first conga lesson and we were able to progress to rhythms right away because I had already learned the tones from your videos (and practiced them a lot).

Having played Djembe and Doumbek for 9 years, and just starting up on Conga's, I am finding these vid's very helpful. Luckily I didn't have to practice with the different styles of hitting. I agree, the hardest is to do is a one handed slap, but feel lucky to not have to learn a different way of doing it. It's the same way you make slaps with Djembes and Doumbeks. I think my biggest challenge is learning to use more than one drum. In my case, a quinto, conga, and tumba!
