Simmons is a dumbass. "Evolution came from a time where frogs came from mud puddles?" Gravity and a spherical Earth came MUCH earlier, but you aren't sitting there claiming that those theories are wrong. Simmons is what is wrong with America.

Only in America can a dumbass have equal standing with a Ph.D biologist. Seriously, if this were conducted in a country that doesn't have assholes, Simmons would automatically lose for not addressing his side.

He's advancing the old watchmaker argument. "I had a quick look at the brain and decided it couldn't possibly have evolved, it's far too complex..." Just like the eye used to be thought of by Simmonds like as being far too complex to have evolved.

Myers: I'll recommend a book to you.
So will I, Simmons, its called The Very Hungry Caterpillar, it should suit your knowledge of biology just fine. Because, you know, the brain is made up of lots of complicated stuff, therefore it was designed. Human beings have 'evolved more' than dolphins, therefore humans were designed.
Good on PZ Myers for attempting to talk sense into this moron, but it was futile, ofcourse. Hopefully some listeners got some information from it.
