  • I don't think you could do it live, just pre-record and load the and load the video file in to the software

  • You have a structured-light 3D scanner?!? Where did you get it? Did you get it for a good deal? I am looking into buying one but I want to be sure to get for a good price at the right place. Great vid : )

  • @DoggieDoubles Yes, It's DYI, it's just a PS3 Eye webcam, DLP projector and a PC running free software. Thanks

  • Would having a quad-core help the capture time any?

  • @ElementalTJ I was using a Mac Pro with 6GB Ram and two 2.8Ghz Quad-Core Xeons. I think having a better GPU, higher resolution projector and camera would help out more.

  • This is pretty cool!

I wonder if a laptop (MacBook Pro)

With those patterns flashing on screen with highest brightness can do the trick.

I can't really afford a projector just to try this out.

  • @dong2512 I don't think your lines would be sharp enough, but you could give it a try

  • is there any minimum hardware requirement to the camera? or can it be done with just any camera?

    this is definitely cool!

  • that is pretty cool
