Canon HV30 High Definition Camera Review:
Although there isn't much more information I could provide that google doesn't offer, I'm here to offer you all a hands on user experience of the Canon HV30, the best product for it's value you will ever find.
Why is the Canon HV20/30/40 the best camera to purchase?
-To begin with, the picture quality is simply AMAZING, and it provides dozens of filming modes to enhance your image for any situation you are recording in. (Modes include TV Mode, Cine Mode, Sports Mode; sunset, snow, etc). You can scroll through these options and instantly see a preview of how your footage will appear.
-It's easy to use! Any average Joe could pick up this camera and figure it out with ease, the camera is as simple as the press of a button, and to browse & configure the options it's only a click away. It doesn't come as simple as the Canon HV series.
- Attachments; The attachment possibilities is what separates the Canon HV30 from other camcorders, there is no limit to the professionalism you can accomplish if you put the money into it. It starts with audio, you can equip your canon with a basic rodeo videomic, to get your basic sound above the quality of it's in-built microphone. From there, you can purchase boom sticks, corded mic's, poles, anything you wish is compatible with the Canon. NOW the real difference it DOF (Depth of Field) adapters, a product available to instantly make your footage professional looking. The adapters range from Jag35 to the almighty Letus adapter, which costs more than the canon itself. When you own an adapter, it is very simple to attach to the Canon HV30, and once it's on you just apply any canon lense you desire to have complete manual control of the focus and depth of your picture. Possibilities with these products are endless, and is the top notch gear you can have for the most professional short films produced.
- Online support; because the canon HV series is so popular and demanded, it has it's very own online forum where you can go there to discuss technical issues, updates and attachments for your camera, tips and tricks to help you achieve the best quality you can, and even a section where all HV20/30/40 users from the world share their Canon HV30 footage. It's a great site, a great community, anyone is welcome to post there and share their latest works, check it out here:
