Thanks, reminds me of television on Sunday nights while visiting my grandparents (who have now passed on). Always liked to hear those percussionists tearing it up.
-
CBS would be smart to bring this back. I wished last night as my son and I watched "Frosty" last night that I'd see this.

Six idiots just have no clue

This 5-second intro brings back a great memories for those of us who watched a lot of TV in the 1960s & 70s--it meant that regular progrmming was preempted and something special (and it was called a "special") was coming on and you couldn't wait! Chances are you already knew from the TV Guide--which was practically required reading for a TV junkie--what the program was. This was especially true in December with all those wonderful specials that we saw only once a year.

Loved by Everyone except six

Always something good was coming on if you saw this bumper!
I remember seeing this before Rikki Tikki Tavi and Charlie Brown!
-
Memories... I was so young... What went wrong... Regrets... Many good times... All of that from 7 seconds.
-
My sister and I would cluster around the TV expectantly when those congas started playing...
-
The Same intro was Used in Homestar Runner's The Best Decemberween Ever.

This bumper always preceded all of the holiday / seasonal programing like the "Charlie Brown" cartoons, "Frosty the Snowman", and "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" etc.,etc.
