Vitoduval is correct. The music to this beloved logo is "Call to Danger" from the Hawaii Five-O soundtrack, composed by Morton Stevens. I wonder if Mr. Stevens had any idea how much he affected a generation!
This bumper always preceded all of the holiday / seasonal programing like the "Charlie Brown" cartoons, "Frosty the Snowman", and "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" etc.,etc.
I remember seeing this in the '70's. It certainly has a "Hawaii 5-O" sort of musical vibe to it. It is astounding how these network IDs and color bumps will bring back memories of a childhood in front of the box. The NBC "Larime" Color intro can bring out a tear in memory of the past.
hehehehe how true.job well done. i kinda wish the networx wud GO retro on occasion just to remind evrybody that TV was suppose to unite the family, be informative responsable and yet entertain....hehe or is it just ME?
