nice the pictures dont lose much quality even in digital zoom!

Using digital zoom is always a bad idea until we start to see 30/40+ megapixel cameras, even then you'll be sacrificing resolution. Try to get the best optical zoom - just as important for video.

Although it's sold as a 10X zoom, it's actually 16.9X (optical). This can then be increased digitally by 4 times, making it 67.6X but with a corresponding reduction in picture quality. Look it up in the handbook, it is hard to work out otherwise.

no , you can! go to normal (not iA) and zoom 10X and plus the digital,
turn to the iA mode , and continuing zoom,
it 'll go to 67,5X (be sure that digital zoom is on on the setting!!)

Then I guess my TZ5 is messed up or broken... Because mine can't get like that.
Had the camera for over a year now and never realise I could do this! Oh well better late than never. Thanks for the great clip!
