@UncleCharlieOakley wow...is barbra on bway?? last time i checked none of those besides Patti (Which ANYONE, including me, can buy a 100+ ticket and go see her) are on broadway!! And look where laura is now!!!! She is on broadway in BONNIE AND CLIDE!!! so put a sock in it and enjoy the new generation...this isn't my favorite either but that doesn't define her! If you are that old to have seen all those people and you are too stuck up in that old crap then put a sock in it!!

@HikariDragonRyuu too bad that song is so poor

@pillowlover005 Everyone's got to start somewhere, and she's doing well. Okay, so she only has a secondary role in "Anything Goes." She can't be the star all the time. She's still in her mid-20s. At least she has faded back into oblivion like her "Grease" co-star, Max Crumm. Give her a few years.

She has a great voice :) I saw her performing this in NYC and I absolutely loved her. She was funny, touching and had a great stage presence. And she's definitely making a name for herself on Broadway.

Her voice is gorgeous - listen to her sing Dyin' Ain't So Bad from Bonnie & Clyde. It's opening on Broadway this fall and it's bound to be her big defining role.

@UncleCharlieOakley These people that you say aren't "extra ordinary" or "larger then life" are still fairly new I mean wont you feel like an ass when in 29 or so years they become legends in they're own right. So to conclude my long rant Laura Osnes maybe hasn't found herself a role that will define her career and compliment her talents but she's making a name for herself and fast which is more than i can say about you and your lowly youtube account critiques

@UncleCharlieOakley I've been reading your comments and seriously you sound like a very bitter person who has high standards not because you're a well seasoned actor but because it is this false identity that your creating for yourself because you didn't have the talent to make it yourself so you feel obligated to put others down because they've "made it" and you feel jealous and that they're undeserving because you have some complex. Also these "greats" that you speak of are from the past.

i saw the show a couple months after this video was posted and saw kelli o'hara, which was obviously amazing, but it would have been amazing to see laura also considering how closely i followed the one that i want. i'm sure she did very well!

I'm so glad to see laura go places! I always knew she would! miss having her in community theater, but she deserves to be there! <3 Thanks for posting!

Adam, even some of those legendary performers you mentioned sometimes gave lacklustre or even bad performances. No reason to generalize about Osnes's talent from this one performance/clip.
@UncleCharlieOakley Dude. Chill! First, get that stick out of your butt. I am glad that you have seen these so called "legends", but that doesn't mean your opinion is superior to anyone else's. Second, I think Laura Osnes is making a name for herself and fast. We have to remember that all actors including the one's you mentioned all started as no one's. So you like Streisand, Rivera, Lupone, etc. Good for you. Now, move on. We have...

I like her but, uhmmm ... her character is from Little Rock, Arkansas. Where is her Southern accent? Mary Martin in the original, Kelli O'Hara in the revival and Carmen Cusack in the touring company got that right. All of the other women have much stronger, more character-filled voices. As pretty and likable as Osnes is, she can't touch these other performances.
