you right there is no second chance , it's mentionedon The Holy Qura'an:

And if you only could see when the (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, etc.) shall hang their heads before their Lord (saying): "Our Lord! We have now seen and heard, so send us back (to the world), we will do righteous good deeds. Verily! We now believe with certainty." (As-Sajdah 32:12)

When I was a child, I used to pray for the salvation of the soul of my dead grandma... I kept doing that until I converted to protestantism (calvinism).

Now I just pray for the Salvation of the living but I wish there would be a second chanced for the people we loved....
