Leh to Manali in 2 days via Royal Enfield Thunderbird

This is footage taken from my 2 day motorcycle trip to Manali, a foothill station in India. It was one of the hardest rides I've ever taken, but it was definitely worth it.

ahh - brings back memories...my 2 6 month long adventures through the Himalaya on Bullets following every road I could find.....my 20 month ride across the world where I finally explored the KKH...

And now I sit at home and surf youtube. Children sure change your focus...

@Akshayjosephsrulz , take the bike to chandigarh by train..ladakh circuit will take a toll on both your body and your bike, so keep yourself and your bike fresh for the best part of your journey. It looks rather easy on youtube, but trust me , it is that much more physically demanding. Take the route Chandigarh-Srinagar-Kargil-Leh­-Leh and around-Manali. You will have good acclimatization at higher altitudes. Safe journey!!..

planning a road trip all the way from bangalore to ladakh....its about 3400kms...on a royal enfield classic 500....what all do u insist me on taking along....eg:fuel etc etc...wat is the budget for a 10days stay here...

Just back myself,did you go over the More plains? Wild eh? we stayed at Sarchu which at 4500m takes your breath away. The Rohtang was really broken up but a fantastic trip .Lahdak is a most amazing place and an Enfield is the way to see it!!

@bluezinc agreed, but its worth it. :-) I have been up to Rohtang by car, the road further was closed, will definitely do this track some time next year :-)
