Patali Champika Ranawaka rips off UNA Wolves in Lion skins -2009.11.16 - TNL Janahanda

JHU MP Patali Champika Ranawaka says that present GOSL has not only united the country but also hearts and minds of people. The 2.5 million of majority votes (GOSL-5.2m, UNP2.6m, JVP.2m) is an evidence of peoples recognition on development efforts of GOSL.

The GOSL expects to further strengthen the rebuilding progress by absorbing higher educational institutes which are misused by JVP for radical activities against government. The children of those higher educational institutes are being abused for narrow political mileage and GOSL are planning to use countrys spine chord, the higher educational institute to increase productivity of the country. He says GOSL is going to introduce new methods to use higher educational institutes to strengthen the development.

JVP and UNP, major political parties of Sri Lanka are used by foreign powers (countries) to sabotage the progress of the government. JVP, UNP are to abolish executive presidency which has helped MR to win the war and is useful to rule the country in case of an emergency.

They demand media freedom and democracy; they must not forget how those days during 88-90, torture, disappearances against media and Politian occur in Sri Lanka. He further said he is confident of winning any election and to continue post war development. He criticizes UNA (new political alliance JVP, UNP, UNF) for obstructing the present government's war against LTTE and post war development of Sri Lanka.

He refuted allegations of UNA governments fear of General Fonseka who is to be nominated as common candidate of UNA for the next presidential election in Sri Lanka. He said General Fonseka is a war hero but now he is surrounded by traitors. He denied allegations origined from foreign countries to fall down the government.

General Fonseka lead the war victoriously while UNA politians laughed at him saying General was wagging an unwinnable war against LTTE and tried to fall down the government at budget debates and no-confidence. They launched mass trade union strikes to distract the war and to pull soldiers from battle front while the war was at its peak. Though General Fonseka is loved by all Sri Lankans for his military leadership and strategies, UNA has a small chance of winning the elections against present government as President Mahinda Rajapakse has upper hand of the election campaign as he has eliminated 30yrs terrorism in Sri Lanka.

The unpopular UNA coalition which had its pro-LTTE strategies during war against LTTE tries to nominate General Fonseka as common a candidate taking advantage of his popular military leadership.

Mahinda Rajapakse and Sarath Fonseka are great patriot leaders in Sri Lanka but today's Patriot might be tomorrow's traitor. General Sarath Fonseka is well respected by all Sri Lankans for his straight forward attitude and patriotism!
