Hey guys R4WC0D3R here, and I'm back with another Cinema 4D tutorial and In this tutorial I'm going to be showing you the best render settings for your animations and images. So lets get started. Ok so the first type of render settings I'm going to go through with you is the one's your Images, so lets head on over to our render settings. And the first thing we want to change is our output. Change the width and height to 1280 x 720 or 1920 x 1080, It doesn't matter which you decide both outputs will give you high quality images. Now click "save" and change the format to PNG, now if you your image to have a transparent background as if you were making an abstract render tick "Alpha Channel" and tick "Straight Alpha". Now lets go to Anti Aliasing and change it to "Best" and set the filter to "Still Image". After that go to "Options" and the only things were going to change here is "Ray Depth", "Reflection Depth" and our "Shadow Depth". So change both the "Ray Depth" and "Shadow Depth" to 3 and then change the "Reflection Depth" to 2 By doing this we'll really speed up our render time. So now we've done with most of the basics It's time to add effects so click the "Effects" button and select "Global Illumination" and "Ambient Occlusion". Click on "Global Illumination" then go to "Irradiance Cache" and set the "Stochastic Samples" to low. Then do the same with the "Record Density". Now head on over to "Ambient Occlusion" and set the minimum samples to 8 and the maximum samples to 50. Ok so now we've make our render settings we can save them as a preset so to do this click "Render Setting" and then click "Save Preset". -- Ok so now I'm going to show you the best render settings for your animations. So again lets head on over to our output, Now here I've got a tip for you guys with slow computers If you change the width and height to 800 x 600 of course that won't give you a high quality Intro but when you go into Camtasia Studio and use the Zoom and Pan tool you can stretch it so it's HD, I'll quickly show you guys an example now. So yeah, I personally don't always use this method but It's really great for people with slow computers and it renders whatever your making a lot quicker. Ok, so moving onto our "Save" change the format to "QuickTime Movie" or If you have the "AVI" codec which comes on every Windows computer you can change it to that then click on the "Options" button and change the "Compressor" to "Intel IYUV" codec for an extremely fast render. Now on Anti-Aliasing I usually set it to Geometry as you don't really notice any quality difference when there are moving objects and again it renders much faster, so feel free to set it to Best or Geometry and set the filter to Animation. Now onto Options, again the only things we are going to to change is our "Ray Depth" "Reflection Depth" and "Shadow Depth". So change both your "Reflection Depth" and "Shadow Depth" to 2 and then change your ray depth to 6. Ok time for effects which is the usual "Global Illumination" and "Ambient Occlusion". Now the settings for these are really similar to the one's for our Images, so set the "Stochastic Samples" to "Custom Accuracy" and set the Accuracy to 40%. Set the "Record Density" to "Low" and for "Ambient Occlusion" just set the "Minimum Samples" to 8 and the "Maximum Samples" to 50. Ok so the last thing were going to change it our "Prefences"......Ok so go onto your "Renderer" and on "Custom Number of Threads" If It's not there by default tick it and I reccomend that you set it to 10 and this will increase the ammount of squares you'll have when rendering alot of people don'y know this and just leave it as default which is two, So I strongly suggest that you change to to 10. So thats It for this tutorial I hope you enjoyed it and learned something new, Be sure to "Coment" "Rate" and "Subcribe".
thx bro!
