What a game! My dad got these tickets off of a StubHub auction for a good price and a great section. I was happy to meet some season ticket holders- Here's a shoutout to 3 Dans, 1 Ellen, and the rest of the group! I hope to go to more games with them in the future.
This is the most footage I've ever put up on YouTube so, as Hawk would say, "Sit back, relax, and strap it down."
Video 1: The first pitch from Ryan Dempster is taken out to left by Scott Podsednik for a double.
Video 2: Jermaine Dye plates Podsednik with an RBI Double. Sox draw first blood.
Video 3: In the very next inning, Dewayne Wise steals second after reaching on a walk.
Video 4: This is followed by Podsednik's second hit, scoring in Wise.
Video 5: In the top of the 3rd with Mark Buehrle pitching, Andres Blanco hits a ball to Gordan Beckham, who makes a good stop but throws it into the stands, allowing Blanco to reach second.
Video 6: Ryan Theriot gets a hit to score in Blanco.
Video 7: After Milton Bradley reached on an error allowing Theriot to reach third, Derrek Lee gets a single to score in The Riot. Both errors resulted in runs and the Cubs tied it up at 2. There were three errors in the game. All of them scored.
Video 8: In the 5th, with runners on 2nd and 3rd after a balk, Bradley hits a screamer to Alexei Ramirez, who snags it out of the air.
Video 9: D-Lee sacrifices to center, scoring Soriano. Cubs lead 3-2.
Video 10: To answer right back, Scotty Pods hits a HR, putting him a triple shy of the cycle.
Video 11: After an Alexei hit, Jim Thome walk, and a Paul Konerko hit by pitch, A.J. Pierzynski delivers a day late, getting a single and plating two. Look at the wheels on Thome! Sox lead 5-3
Video 12: Buerhle was taken out after allowing a walk and single in the 6th. D.J. Carrasco came in and gave up a double to Soriano, scoring 2 and tying the game.
Video 13: Theriot gets a single and scored in Soriano. Cubs lead 6-5 (which was the final for Friday's game).
Video 14: Once again, answering right back, Wise hits a triple to right center off of relief pitcher Aaron Heilman.
Video 15: Also once again, Podsednik gets his third RBI of the game. Sox tie it up 6-6.
Video 16: In the 8th, after Ryan Freel reached on Ramirez's second error of the game and moved from 1st to 3rd on a Kosuke Fukudome single, Andres Blanco hits a ball to Alexei, who looks Freel back, then throws to first. Freel comes in to score on a bang bang play. This gives the Cubs another lead 7-6.
Video 17: If you're the opposing team, you have to love the Cubs bullpen. The most consistently inconsistent in the league. Carlos Marmol comes on in and gives up a leadoff bloop single to Beckam. On a side note, this video is the 3000th video I've taken on my video camer. Congratulations to Gordan and Carlos! You're a part of history. (I'll be signing autographs later.)
Video 18: After being bunted over to second by Wise, Alexei Ramirez ties it up again on an RBI single past a diving Theriot. Beckham scores the tying run, you wouldn't hear the last of him. 7-7.
Video 19: The next batter, Jermaine Dye, puts a huge jolt in the ball, but Fukudome makes a leaping catch at the wall. We're tied going into the 9th.
Video 20: To the ninth we go. Big Bobby Jenks enters in and shuts 'em down, striking out Geovany Soto to end the inning.
Video 21: More Bullpen greatness. Sean Marshall enters the game and gives up a one out hit to Paul Konerko. Josh Fields comes in to pinch run.
Video 22: A.J. hits a weak grounder to third, making the only play 1st base. This allows Fields to reach 2nd.
Video 23: With 2 outs, Jayson Nix walks. Gordan Beckham steps up to the plate and smashes the ball to deep right field, over the head of Bradley, and bounces off the wall for a White Sox walk-off winner! At the end of this video you can barely hear "He'll get a pie in the face." Well...
Video 24: Here's your pie, Mr. Beckham! Scotty Pods would also get a pie from JD for going 4-5 with 3 RBIs and 2 Runs scored.
Final Score: 8-7 White Sox

im from philly......are the sox and cubs like do thy have any type of rivalry?

Big one. North Side (Cubs) vs South Side (Sox). Crosstown classic. And to get to both ballparks you take the same train, so it's fun to see fans of both teams when they play on the same day!

@Leeman1115 really! thats so cool! i which philly had 2 teams so it would be like that! i personaly like the white sox better! which one is better

You're going to get a lot of people arguing for both sides, but historically speaking the White Sox are a better team. Most facts will point to the Sox as the better team then and now! I myself am a diehard Sox fan. I'm glad you like them better as well, haha!
