@robochikenleg That depends of what kind of condition it's in and where it was minted (little D under the date, Denver mint; S, San Francisco mint; No letter = P for plane, Philadelphia mint). Look up 1913 pennies on eBay, find one that looks like yours and see what it's going for.
99% of the pennies minted in 1943 were made of zinc, because they needed to save copper for WWII. These zinc pennies are known as "steel pennies" and there are a bazillion of them out there. A 1943 penny that's a regular copper penny is extremely rare and very valuable.
@hugoantiochca IF you have real gold coins, take them to a TRUSTWORTHY coin dealer, and be certain to get reliable references. Someone can give you very low appraisals, and unless you retain the item, you'll never know. Photograph each coin if at all possible, both sides, and take them to 3 or more dealers for estimates. Some will be worth more than raw material value because of their age. Silver coins are worth in excess of 17x face value at minimum due to material. Proceed with caution!
If you had one made of copper from 1943 it would be worth hundreds of thousands.
