Norm carting - Part 1

The first time I hitched Norm to the cart I expected him to spook a little. I was wrong, the boy just started pulling like he'd been doing it all his life. He didn't lean into me (phew, no carter's leg), he didn't lag behind or pull ahead, he maintained a perfect heel. He went over gravel, grass, uneven ground, up and down gentle slopes, through a small depression and between trees, all the while the Newfs ran by or walked along side of him. Of course no one was there to see it, so I had Mallory come out to videotape it. Well Norm still carted well, but his focus became Mallory, whom he adores.
