@JohnLangstrom I think it's the loyalty because Marcus obviously is capable of being a hybrid :) That's why Lucian made sure that Michael became a lycan too. I think Marcus doesn't like lycans except his own brother. He would probably kill any lycan on sight.

@MusicLuv80 From what I've seen in the movies, Alexander Corvinus is indeed the first true immortal. However, if I remember correctly, it was never stated that he was the strongest. He merely asks Selene to drink his blood as it would strengthen her abilities and remove her vampiric weaknesses, allowing her to go toe to toe with Marcus, the first true vampire.

@MusicLuv80 Ah, I don't mind questions. Hopefully I can clear up some of your confusion. If I am correct, Marcus's more bestial appearance stems from the Lycan blood he absorbed. As you are aware, Lycans can shift from their human visage to their wolf forms. As far as I know, that ability apparently granted Marcus more animalistic features and wings.

@eXtP1987 As far as I can tell, the Lycans intended to create a true hybrid (which Marcus is not capable of being) or perhaps one loyal to them (which Marcus would probably not be). It is also possible that the scientists did not even know that Marcus was capable of becoming a hybrid.

@JohnLangstrom i am sorry.. i have too many questions. I found some articles and found lot of answers. but i found out that marcus never had wings at first but because of the blood of the scientist he became a hybrid with wings... but wasn't the scientist a lycan???? so how did he get the wing. and the father of Marcus is the most strongest one right?

@JohnLangstrom another question.... on the 2nd movie I remember them saying Marcus' father is the strongest of all of them. isn't that why he asks Selene to drink his blood to become stronger? I am still confused. hope you can help.

kiuyt856, you're retarded. Marcus is a hybrid. He was passed the immortality gene from his father, and was later bitten by a bat making him the first vampire. However, at the end of the first move, as Singe, the lycan scientist, dies, his blood flows into the chamber in which the elders are held, awakening Marcus. This causes Marcus to become a hybrid.
