This is a part of the past of TV and film making. Then, they wanted to bring up some magic on the screen and leave us bewitched. That's why men like Spielberg had their big times in the 70s and 80s. It was the changin' of the world finantial situation in the mid 90s shich brought us into this non-magical 'NOW' with no space for magic. Well ... sad story!
