they use thicker head gaskets to get lower compression so u can fit more volume of fuel/air as-well as run higher boost pressers without blowing a head gasket or worse (blowing a top end) also it lowers your EGT's a bit (easier on the turbo and head gasket)

damn ford sitting beside the truck..... ruining the sound.... but yeah my truck hates the winter cold too..... gotta love changing the timing and compression... i love the single stack too
