Dear Family, Friends and Supporters!
We are sending this email on behalf of our 9-year old son Gerry.
For the past 6 months Gerry has been working on producing an anti-bullying short movie "Day of Silence".
Violence amongst young people across the world is at epidemic levels. There is a child protection crisis on our hands, and we have a duty as citizens and parents to unite and demand that our nation's leaders, politicians, communities and families take action to increase awareness and enact every measure to stop this epidemic and stop silently supporting bullying.
Gerry would like nothing less than for his message to go viral with the hope of raising awareness of how we can all share a part in ending bullying. Let's start now to support all victims of bullying so they have a voice and do not remain suffering in silence.
Gerry and his friends are a group of amazing young actors. With the help and support of his co-stars, Zane and Kaitlin, a lot of hard work went into this project. They believe with your help, they can change the world. Gerry, along with his friends and family are a constant source of energy, passion and commitment to this cause.
We're asking for the support of parents, teachers, young people, businesses and communities from all corners of the globe to participate in a Day of Silence in an effort to raise awareness of those that have no voice. Let's use this day to reflect not only on the world of those who suffer silently but also to contemplate what each of us can do to support the cause and eliminate bullying.
