------- PROLOGUE -------

Prologue is a short dreamy film about a man caught in the routine of an office which is slowly becoming his grave.
---------------------------------

This film was what brought myself and Chris together as new friends and collaborators for the first time in early 2003. It's very much an early work of his which beset him with headaches and problems from early on. I met him late in its production and he very much wanted to get it finally set in stone, warts and all. So, with little prompting I offered to write the musical score for him and this has lead to a long friendship we've shared, which makes the movie somewhat precious for us.

The music itself always brings a smile to both of our faces, as the central riff ( "doo-dee-doo-dur-dooooo...") haunted him in his film school following its completion. Infact, so much so that when people greeted him they'd sing the theme at him, - albeit with a degree of derision ( my job was done ;)).

I confess to this day, I'm still not sure if I follow the entire story, but, there's some nice sunset shots in it...and an entertaining soundtrack ofcourse! Ironically, the soundtrack with the audio mix is at times not the best balance, but I dont think we have any plans of reworking it any time too soon, as 2003 for both of us was a very changing time and I think we are both pleased to move forwards...who knows what the future holds!

  • I fucking love this film.

I just had to watch it for old time sake. I love it when the guy goes "do you understand" (always feels to me like he is speaking to the audience there...?)
